How To Manifest Your Dream Job And Go After It

The Truth About Navigating a Career Change and Finding Purpose in Life

Coach Bose’ here, and in this post I’m about to share how to figure out what your dream job is and go after it. Why? Because I believe you were made for joy.

It's not just enough to have a good job; you also deserve the luxury of a job you enjoy. I often see people get frustrated because they jump into applying for jobs and don't get interviews. It's also very common to burn out when interviewing for roles and not receiving the job.

Typically, these two things happen when a strategic job search that aligns with your purpose hasn't been established. This is why the Goal and Grind Career Change Method starts with helping you get clarity on what you'll be applying for from both the perspective of your income-generating skills and what type of work you enjoy doing.

From there, we move through the essential career change steps:

  1. strategic networking

  2. application preparation

  3. interview, preparation

  4. compensation negotiation

  5. your resignation checklists, and even

  6. how to get a head start in your new role.

Using the Goal and Grind Career Change Method, you can expect to gain clarity and increased confidence to step into your purpose. This means you're moving forward, having a job you get paid for and also enjoy doing.

Here’s my story about how I manifested my dream job…

There was a time I felt lost in my life and in my career, but I got out of being stuck and stepped into my purpose. This is that story.

I had a job, a good job, a job others would have liked to have. The problem was, it wasn't my job. I didn't enjoy where I was living. I didn't enjoy how my career was unfolding. I wanted more for myself. But I was scared because I lived in a city where I had a robust network and a secure source of income. But inside, I was dying. Everything was stagnant, and I wasn't living with my purpose.

I decided to step out of my comfort zone. I developed a vision for my life that was rooted in joy. I distilled that into goals and four key areas:

  • personal,

  • professional,

  • health, and

  • financial.

All of the goals aligned with my mission. I posted these goals in my apartment. I shared them with my closest friends and family. I took one small step each day towards one of the goals, which created balance in my life. When faced with a decision, I started asking myself, how does this move you closer to your goal?

Before I knew it, moving day was here, and I was on my way to living in a city of my choice with the environment. Once I got to Chicago, I networked strategically with people in roles I aspired to be in. Before I knew I had my dream job.

Every day I am beyond thankful for those who supported and continue to support me.

My friend, this journey, my journey, it's why I launched Goal and Grind. I love love, love to see people live their lives and feel fulfilled in their work. So I'm now on a mission to support ambitious people as they navigate career changes and find purpose in life.

When it comes to manifesting your dream job, all it takes is one small step, but it has to be a strategic step that aligns with your life vision.
